Summary
OPAL is a user-friendly and professional database application
for document management, dossier management including relations (CRM),
address management and projects administration. OPAL offers an impressive
functionality and a so far largely unmatched flexibility.
OPAL was internationally designed to provide an excellent and professional
solution for both, private and business users alike.
The multilingual user-interface (English, German, French* and Italian*) can
be selected online at any time. OPAL can be adjusted to the joint and
individual requirements of users and is an excellent supplement to Microsoft
Office.
With the automatic generation of new documents and custom defined standard
letters, the support of all international address formats and the integrated
functions for communication OPAL is the efficient solution for global use in
the private as well as the business area.
OPAL can be used with the Microsoft Windows operating system
on a professional business network
server with several client workstations (with some
ten thousand records)
just as well as on a private personal
computer(with only a few records). OPAL runs fully independent from Internet availability, but offers all
needed connectivity
if Internet is
available(e.g. sending e-mails, using hyperlinks). Therefore, you are always in full control of your data and

creation of letters, mailings, notes and other documents for printing, sending
via fax and e-mail.
Stationery
are
user defined
and can
automatically
be
applied
for the creation of letters, mailings, notes and other documents.

of all external files (e.g.
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,
Adobe PDF, etc.) with unlimited
hyperlinks.
E-Mail Client
to directly send individual
e-mails and personalised e-mail mailings and newsletter, which are automatically archived

In addition to its
user-friendly data entry and data administration

including «Smart-Filter» in selection lists, as well as all necessary tools
for the technical administration and data security,
including user codes and passwords, OPAL offers a wizard to
import existing person, organisation and address data from any database or table
(e.g. Microsoft Excel). Due to the design and the flexibility of OPAL it is
possible to store all data in a way to represent the reality. The dossiers for
each person and for each organisation will be created and maintained
automatically by the usage of OPAL(each activity
is automatically assigned to at least one person or project).

addresses, numbers, relations, projects or activities, are limited by the
database technology of Microsoft Access (see OPAL System Requirements).

OPAL is not fully translated in the current version of OPAL and appears mostly
